The beauty of this antique (1890's) ring is in its simple design with a bezel set turquoise stone embraced by 8K yellow gold that has a marvelous aged patina. The smooth cabachon turquoise stone evokes a soothing feeling of being in tune with nature and all things natural. It is stamped '333' to indicate the gold content. It is very likely this ring is of German origin with a 333 mark because that is the lowest content of gold used in Germany for jewelry. Other countries do not normally use this mark. The gallery is 3/4 inch long by 3/8 inch wide. This ring was handcrafted by expert jewelry makers in the 19th century and is in excellent condition. It is a size 9.5 and can be resized. A wonderful way to begin your collection of antique and vintage jewelry is to acquire this affordable piece that is searching for a new home.
